| IF YOU WIN? Ultimately up to six scripts will be chosen for production. If your script is chosen, we aimto provide you with access to the following:
- A modest but not insignificant
budget
- Support and advice from an experienced and friendly production co-ordinator
- Sound mix
- Script polishing with internationally acclaimed script producers
- One-year membership of the Documentary Organisation of Canada
- Director's honorarium
The edit and sound mix facilities we have arrangements with are located in Toronto. If you are unable to use the facilitiesand equipment available through Moc Docs, we shall do our best tomake alternative arrangements in your part of the country, howeveryou may have to find your own equipment. All other costs of production are the responsibility of the filmmaker. If you choose to work with Actra actors, it is your responsibility to agree terms. Most Actra chapters have been helpful in terms of cooperative agreements in previous years. If you are an Actra member or intend to work with Actra performers we strongly advise that you explore your options well in advance of shooting. SCHEDULE There is a two-stage jury process. Finalists chosen by the first jury may be asked to present their production outline to the final Moc Docs jury. Winners will be notified. We mayask you to write a second or third draft and reserve the right toworkshop the script with you. Production begins immediately. AFTER THEY'RE DONE Winning Moc Docs will premiere during the Atlantic Film Festival September 15-24, 2005. Several previous moc docs have been invited to prestigious festivals in Canada and the US and as far afield as Europe and Australia. Moc Docs will distribute the mockumentaries, but copyright of the individual films rests with the filmmakers.
Winning films will be broadcast
on The Comedy Network!
